“I want to travel but it’s not like I have a trust fund or a gazillion dollars in savings to pay for it” sounds familiar well it is a valid concern and not every job can be incorporated in the travel lifestyle that we desire. But in today’s world it’s a sorry excuse for not venturing out and expands your mind with travel.  There are many odd ball jobs and even proper professions that can help you remain financially self sufficient and still trek the world.

49 Ways To Work and Travel

  1. Try a hand at house sitting- you simply look after their house until the owners come back.
  2. Become an Au Pair ( who does some cleaning and looks after the children)  for a family
  3. Find a internship abroad
  4. Study abroad and a part time odd job
  5. Study just one semester abroad- the tuition will be free and other arrangements can be made.
  6. Become a tour guide
  7. Expand your business to untapped areas
  8. Do home exchanges- you stay in my home I stay in yours!
  9. Become a destination wedding photographer
  10. Go teach some English
  11. Know a language become a translator
  12. Know a language pretty well then become a interpreter
  13. Editor is also an option.
  14. Join a dance company
  15. Become a nanny especially to a family that travels a lot.
  16. Flight attendants travel a lot too.
  17. Models aren’t just deemed glamorous for their attire.
  18. Join a NGO and they will post you to places.
  19. Become a film extra
  20. Go fruit picking
  21. Go WOOFING!
  22. Try a hand at being a sculptor model.
  23. Cleaners are always wanted.
