You can actually change the dynamics of a house or a room, based on the feng shui energy in it! Mirrors change the energy in a room or office based on where they are placed. Who knew?

This is good news! We are all afraid of the mirror because we are terrified that we will break one and have seven years of bad luck! Nobody wants that. Or step on a shard months after it happened. This is the worst nightmare of many. That’s what parents teach their kids, but apparently mirrors can actually have a really positive influence on people’s lives.

When we heard about placing mirrors in order to get a morecalm and settling feng shui we were stunned! We just love everything glass. However learning that it changes the mood of a room or home makes it that much better. The mirror in your home or office can enhance the mood of harmony and balance because it brings the water element.

Considerations when it comes to Feng Shui

There are many different things that influence the feng shui of a home. If you place your mirror or glass items in the right position andright place, it calms the mood and makes the space more enjoyable.

There are many different types of mirrors. Depending on the shape, color, size and placement of the glass in the room, a different ambiance can be created. If you are looking for sharp and modern, your glass mirror should be placed front and center.

Adding a white tent to your mirror is another trick that works! It has been known to bring a great deal of energy to the room. If this makes your space feel too energetic you can have a glass company turn it opaque to help to ease this situation.

Glass is soothing because it brings the feeling of water, but why? The Chi is based on placing things in a room so that the energy is optimized according to how furniture is placed. To achieve optimal feng shui, or Chi in your home or working space, there should not be a mirror facing a door. How interesting! According to the theory, a mirror facing your door will reflect positive back out of the home or office.

It’s All in the Glass

We love glass and mirrors, but who knew they could be so instrumental in changing the energy around us! The feng shui in the home is important to keep balance within the family, but keeping the Chi in the office helps things to run smoothly. Whether it is one person show, or an office of 15, an affirmative feng shui helps to keep things positive!

Decorating your living space is a good thing to do. How you design your space has a real life effect not only on how productive you will be in the space, but also your mood. Adding a mirror or two will spruce up the feng shui or Chi and allow you more peace. Do it today!
