When it comes to choosing the right women’s fashion jewelry it can be a challenge. There are a few ways to make your custom design jewelry selection a bit easier. Pairing your earrings with your face shape and hair style is a great way to both compliment your appearance and take some of the guessing out of choosing the right jewelry. Here are five earring styles and some face shape and hairstyles that go well with them.

  1. Stud Earrings-

studs are the universal earring. They work well with any face shape, any hair style and any combination of the two. These are a great all around earring for those that may not have any other earring choices or who are in a hurry. These are also a great pairing earring for when you have multiple piercings and want to wear more than one set of earrings.

  1. Chandelier Earrings-

these work best with angular face shapes and up dos. Though you can wear them with longer hair, they are best when you have your hair pulled up or back from your face. This allows the earrings to show and for you to really showcase the jewelry you have selected. They work best with angular face shapes because they help to compliment the structure and architecture of the face and vice versa.

  1. Feather/ Wispy Earrings-

these go best with long hair and softer face shapes. Much like a feather, longer hair helps to incorporate this type of earring into a look. This is great for those that want the look and feel of something like feather extensions without getting them. They work best with your hair down because they lack structure. Similarly, they work better with a softer face shape because they themselves are softer.

  1. Hoop Earrings-

hoops are another universally flattering earring. They work well with both up dos and down dos and they work with most face shapes. That being said, their round shape best compliments round faces and works great with half up half down hair styles. This is a very forgiving earring and can be worn with a wide range of hair and face shapes and also pairs nicely with studs. Hoops are especially great with curls that mimic their shape and size.

  1. Funky Shaped Earrings-

earrings that have strange shapes work well with heart shaped faces and hair that is up. This allows for the earring rather than the hair to be the focal point. Those earrings that have tons of geometric structure work well with heart shaped faces because they too have tons of structure.

There is an earring out there for every hair style and for every face shape. There are tons of more styles of earring, hairstyles, and face shapes to consider. The easiest way to find what suits you is to try everything. It never hurts to try on a few different pairs of earrings until you find what looks right and makes you feel comfortable.  For unique trends and styles shop online to avoid wearing the mass produced pieces.
