Fourth of July is right around the corner and with it comes lots of fireworks. This is a time-honored tradition and without it the 4th would not be the same. Viewing fireworks can be quite the experience and you want it to be a good one.
1. Check Your Local Listings
The first thing you want to do is find a good place to watch the fireworks. This will depend on location. You want to find a place where you can see them but also be far enough away that you are safe. You don’t want to end up with a burn from a stray firework.
Most cities have places you can go to check out the fireworks. A lot of them will put on a show with music and other fun activities. This would probably be your best bet for a safe Fourth of July. Not everyone who shoots off fireworks knows what they are doing so you want to make sure you find professionals to watch.
2. Go There Early To Find The Best Spot
If you have someone in your family that is sensitive to the noise, it might be best to stay further away from them if you can. You still might be able to watch them from a distance. Sometimes young children have a hard time enjoying them because of the noise.
Another option is to bring ear plugs for those that are more sensitive. This way they can enjoy the show without being so bothered by the noise. You can even find ear plugs that small children can wear.
3. Check Your Local Fireworks Law
If you would like to set off your own fireworks, you need to make sure you obey the laws of your city. Sometimes all fireworks are illegal and other times they might have certain dates and times you need to abide by.
If you are setting fireworks off a week before the Fourth of July, you are going to make your neighbors mad. They will not appreciate hearing the noise that early. If you would like to test them out, do so a few days before when they are expected.
4. Read The Instruction
Make sure you do know what you are doing before you start lighting them off. Most accidents occur because people are not aware of how to use them. Also make sure there is not a ban because of the air quality. Sometimes cities will ban fireworks because it is just too dry out to safely light them.
5. The Most Important Thing is Safety
Fireworks can be a lot of fun but you need to make sure you observe safety warnings. They are there for a reason and are intended to keep you safe. If it feels like that is too much for you to handle, leave it to the professionals and go find a local show to watch on that night.
The Fourth of July is a great day to spend with family and friends. Taking in the fireworks together can be a magical experience. Plan correctly and it can be one of the highlights of your year.
