For pregnant women the feeling of a little one inside the womb is an amazing feel, but you are not likely to feel great all the time. There are bound to be not so anxious moments as well. The symptoms of pregnancy may vary from a woman to another, and for the same woman it could vary differently as well.

Some of the discomforts associated with pregnancy last for several weeks or months, but most of them are temporary and does not affect all women. You need to take note of the fact that pregnancy is a 10 month journey and a step by step baby growth during pregnancy video would be of immense help in this regard.

In generic terms a normal pregnancy tends to last for 40 weeks and this is taking into account the last date of your missed period. This works out to be 2 weeks before the conception occurs. The stage of pregnancy is divided into 3 stages and they are referred to as the three trimesters of pregnancy. Each period is roughly divided into 12 to 13 weeks. At each stage changes do take place in the body of a woman along with a developing fetus.

Stages In The Growth Phase Of A Baby

First trimester

The developing baby goes by the name of embryo once the conception takes place. In the first month of pregnancy the lungs along with the heart begin to form. Ideally the embryo is the size of a pea during the first trimester of pregnancy. Once the second stage is reached a majority of the organs in the baby would have been formed. In the third month of pregnancy, the muscles and the bones begin to form. The skin does become transparent and the intestines also tend to form at the same time as well.

Second trimester

Once you reach the second trimester of pregnancy most of the unpleasant effects of pregnancy would have vanished. This is taking into consideration that by now the body would have adapted to the changing needs of pregnancy. The energy levels are going to increase and sleeping does become easy. The morning sickness or nausea may come and fade away. Infections could also arise at this point of time and respiratory infection medicine during pregnancy does help you in a better way.  It has to be referred that women do go on to feel pelvic pressure and the weight on the stomach could be responsible for it.

Third trimester

At this stage of pregnancy the enlarged uterus does go on to push the abdomen out. The feet or the ankle could swell as there is more accumulation of fluid. There is a tendancy to urinate frequently as the mother may feel the need to empty the bladder. Pain in the hips, pelvis or backache is a common occurrence at this point of time.

Some amount of leakage with regards to breastfeeding is known to arise. This is in the form of a yellow liquid as a woman is getting ready.
