No one ever said wedding planning was easy and there are many different elements that need to slot together. Once you’ve secured the big things such as the dress, the honeymoon and the wedding venue but it’s also important to ensure that you remember the little touches. It’s the finishing touches and small mementos people will remember most and of course, the wedding gifts or favours for your guests are key to this.
Wedding favours or small gifts have become traditional for all weddings, to ensure that each and every invited gift has something to remember you big day. It’s also a way of saying thank you to each guest in another, meaningful way. There are many different choices of gifts but here we’ve brought together some ideas which are both popular and heartfelt.
1. Pot Luck
A little potted plant is a very sweet way of helping your guests remember your big day. With a little food and water they’ll have a long lasting reminder of your wedding day. You could also personalise the pots with their name or the special date and every time they water it, they’ll remember your special day.
2. Tasty Tipple
Nothing says thank you like a good glug of something sweet and alcoholic. Home mixed drinks such as raspberry vodka or even home brewed cider have become popular but there’s nothing wrong with a classic red or white wine, with a personalised label again. Very few people can complain about a good drink.
3. Sweet Style
There has always been a trend for sweets or chocolates as a parting thank you for wedding guests. It gives the organisers a chance to be creative and cook up a delight of heartfelt, homemade favours or call in experts to create them on their behalf. Sweet treats could be anything from fortune cookies to toffees or specially personalised and decorated cookies.
4. It Could Be You
You’ve had the luck of your wonderful wedding day and therefore isn’t it fair to share some of that luck? Perhaps tucked in with some other goodies you could include a National Lottery ticket for each of your guests and hope a little of the luck of your big day rubs off on them!
5. Scrummy Sauce
Much like the other food goodies and especially good for summer weddings when barbecue season is upon us, offer up mini sauce bottles in the gift package. Each sauce bottle could again be customised with a personal message and the name of your guests. It’s a little quirky but it works and it’ll certainly be memorable!
6. Jars jars and more jars
Jars are the height of fashion at the moment. Whether they’re being used as mugs for cocktails or holders for candles. Why not jump on the bandwagon and offer your guests a fun jarred treat, label completed to mark them out for each guest. You can include anything inside and once the contents has been enjoyed the guests have a lifelong keepsake of your big day.
